Wolves striker, Raul Jimenez have confirmed that Manchester United were eager to sign him during the transfer window but an agreement could not be reached.
Manchester United might have secure the signing of Cavanni and Van De Been but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was unable to complete some of his preferred transfer move during the summer.
Raul Jimenez who have been in a thrilling form ever since he joined Wolves have now shed more light on United transfer move.
Speaking to TUDN, the 29-year-old revealed that United and Juventus both made approaches for him, though neither club came close to reaching an agreement to take him away from Molineux.
“One day I woke up and Juventus wanted me, another Manchester United and what I know is that there were approaches made.
“But an agreement was never reached and nothing was close. I’m very happy at Wolves.
“The truth is I am very happy in Wolverhampton.
“It’s never wrong to be in a place where you are well but they know that I am not satisfied [with my form], I always look for more.”
United have again been linked with a move for Cristiano Ronaldo this week, after it was reported Juventus were open to selling him if they fall short of winning the Champions League again this season
