Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen has named the two toughest defenders he has played against in his career so far.
Osimhen identified Tottenham Hotspur’s Cristian Romero and Senegal’s Kalidou Koulibaly as his toughest opponents in football.
The Nigerian international admitted that Romero, who is currently on loan at Tottenham from Atalanta, gave him a hard time when they faced off, while Koulibaly never allowed him to score during training.
Osimhen also hailed Lazio’s Ciro Immobile as his favourite Italian striker.
“Both Gattuso and Spalletti have helped me, I can and I just have to thank them,” Osimhen told La Repubblica via Sky Sport Italia.
“My favorite Italian striker is Immobile, he always comes out between the defenses and makes everything seem easy: a real pirate.
“The most difficult defender? Romero, now at Tottenham, when he marked me he was faster than I. And Koulibaly who never lets me score in training,” he stated.
Romero was named the best defender in the Serie A for the 2020-2021 season. He joined Tottenham Hotspur last August.
Koulibaly, meanwhile, is a club teammate with Osimhen at Napoli.
He recently captained Senegal to win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Cameroon.
