Premier League: Will Liverpool regret not making any big signing


Most watched league in Europe, Premier League is about to start with a trilling London derby between Arsenal and Fulham but all eyes will be stuck on Liverpool when they begin their title defence against Leeds some hours later.

Liverpool were the most feared team last season as they walked away with the title after putting up an impressive performance that saw the win the league with a stunning 18 points ahead of Manchester City.

Jurgen Klopp was able to sustain his status as one of the best manager in the world by setting up his team on a weekly basis and getting the job done in fascinating fashion.

The likes of Mohammed Salah, Sadio Mane and Jordan Henderson put up impressive performance and the reds achieved their aim in the end.

However, Liverpool have been quiet in the transfer window as they’ve not been adding to their squad despite being linked with a host of top players across leagues in Europe.

Jurgen Klopp will be eager to eager to retain the Premier League as well as going far in other competition but his inability to sign players might hinder his plans.

The likes of Chelsea and Manchester United are already adding top players to their ranks as they hope to wrestle the title from Liverpool and Manchester City are also ready to take back their place at the top.

Liverpool are yet to finalize a deal for Bayern Munich’s Thiago Alacantara and with the Premier League known for it’s competitiveness, it’s left to see whether their silence in the window will affect them.
