Bayern Munich defender, Jerome Boateng will be out for a few weeks after the club confirmed he has suffered from a muscle strain during their UEFA Champions league final.
Jerome Boateng was substituted in the 25th minute of the match against PSG and replaced by Niklas Süle.
The German International underwent a scan today and the result by club doctors Prof. Dr. Peter Ueblacker and Dr. Jochen Hahne confirmed that Jérôme Boateng picked up a muscle strain in the back of his right thigh during the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.
The centre-back will complete a rehabilitation programme prepared by the club’s medical department during his holiday. .
Boateng will be grateful his injury was not in vain as Kingsley Coman scored the decisive goal that made sure Bayern Munich won their sixth Champions League.
Bayern Munich have now join the leagues of elite clubs to win over five Champions League trophy.
Jerome Boateng will be eager to return to full fitness so as to join the rest of the team when they begin preparation for the new season.
