10: Phil Foden (Man City) – new entry
Manchester City’s last game saw them thrash Newcastle 5-0, and youngster Foden is just the first of a few of Pep Guardiola’s players cropping up on this list.
Since the restart, he has enjoyed a sustained run in the team and a succession of impressive performances have helped him break into the Power Rankings top 10 list.
Against the Magpies, he dictated his side’s play and was involved in almost all of City’s many attacks. A superstar in the making.
9: Jamie Vardy (Leicester) – no change
He was ninth on the list last time out and another goal keeps him there. Since the restart, the Englishman had struggled for goals but a brace against Palace at the weekend got him going.
From there, he netted a vital equaliser against Arsenal on Tuesday night to ensure his side nicked a point, and his performance was vital for the Foxes.
Brendan Rodgers’ side are still well in the hunt for a Champions League spot but will need Vardy firing on all cylinders in the final four games if they are to make it.
Phil Foden is Manchester City’s next big thing and he was brilliant again against Newcastle
Jamie Vardy scored against Arsenal and is currently the leading Premier League goalscorer
8: Danny Ings (Southampton) – new entry
Given Southampton’s topsy-turvy form, Danny Ings’ 19-goal haul is nothing short of brilliant. He netted his latest goal in the draw against Southampton on Thursday night, and has almost single-handedly secured his side’s safety this season.
Always a threat in front of goal, he’s had an incredibly successful season and jumps back into Sportsmail’s Power Rankings at No 8 spot this week.
Saints have a tough game against Manchester United next up, but as the Englishman battles to win the Golden Boot this season, don’t put it past him to bag another goal at Old Trafford on Monday night.
Danny Ings isn’t far behind Jamie Vardy’s tally and once again he netted for Southampton
7: Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) – up three
The Gunners’ breakthrough talent of the season has been in incredible form since the restart, providing assists like they’re going out of fashion.
He popped up with a goal to get himself into the top 10 last week, and another superb performance – and assist – against Leicester have propelled him even further up the list.
It was in the news this week that Gareth Southgate will be watching him in the coming weeks, as he looks to add an England spot to the one he has seemingly nailed down in Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side.

6: David Silva (Man City) – new entry
It will be an emotional moment seeing David Silva step out in the Premier League for the final time later this month, as he prepares to leave Manchester City at the end of the season. He is, though, finishing with a flourish.
A man-of-the-match performance against Newcastle yielded a goal and two assists, and he was central to everything good about Guardiola’s team.
His influence on Foden is there for all to see as well, as he simultaneously coaches the next generation of talent while also putting in an incredible display himself. One of the best midfielders ever to grace the league.
David Silva is finishing with a flourish at City and added another goal and two assists this week
5: Kevin De Bruyne (Man City) – down one
A third Manchester City player in the list, and the highest of the week. Kevin De Bruyne drops down one place, but has been a mainstay in the Power Rankings list for the last few weeks after a series of blistering performances.
He played the full 90 minutes against Newcastle, also grabbing yet another assist, and showed just why many rate him as the best player in the Premier League.
He runs the show week in, week out and his performance in the 5-0 victory over Newcastle this week was no different. Next up: Brighton away on Saturday night.
Kevin De Bruyne stays in the Power Rankings top five after coming up with yet another assist
4: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) – new entry
Liverpool beat Brighton 3-1 this week, and Mohamed Salah was far and away the Reds’ best performer, coming up with two goals and an assist.
He is the highest new entry in the Power Rankings list this week, jumping ahead of his rivals after netting his 17th goal of the season.
On top of that, he has eight assists, taking his goal contribution levels to new heights. It’s been quite a season for the title-winning Egyptian on Merseyside.
Mohamed Salah scored twice and provided an assist as Liverpool thrashed Brighton 3-1
3: Willian (Chelsea) – down one
Perhaps the most in-form player in the league, Willian came up with the goods yet again in Chelsea’s victory over Crystal Palace this week. Although the Eagles came back to almost nick a point, Willian’s contribution got them over the line.
At Selhurst, he popped up with a brace of assists to add to the three goals he had in the two games prior to that, and he is well deserving of his podium place at the top of this list.
In fact, since the restart – there’s only been one game in the six that Willian hasn’t provided a goal contribution. He is finishing the season with a flourish.
Willian is perhaps the Premier League’s most in-form player and he shone again away at Palace
2: Mason Greenwood (Man United) – up one
Manchester United youngster Mason Greenwood showed off his incredible finishing ability once again in his side’s win over Aston Villa on Thursday night.
That takes his recent tally to four goals in his last three games, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer later admitting that it would be impossible to drop him from the team.
He’s up one place in the Power Rankings, only missing out on top spot to a Manchester United team-mate…
Mason Greenwood’s recent tally is four goals in three games and his finishing is impeccable
1: Bruno Fernandes (Man United) – no change
Since his arrival at Old Trafford in January, Bruno Fernandes has been a complete revelation and he has now cemented his place at the top of our Power Rankings list three weeks in a row.
Against Villa, he scored and provided another assist as his midfield partnership with Paul Pogba continues to flourish.
United are now 17 games unbeaten, and Fernandes has been far and away their best player with four goals in his last three games (and three assists on top of that!).
Fernandes keeps the top spot for a third week in a row after guiding United to another victory
