Premier League side, Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen to sign Kai Havertz for £90million this summer, with the transfer expected to be confirmed in the next few hours
Chelsea have made their intention clear of adding the german international to their squad and it looks like things have been sorted out if reports were to be through.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Havertz is “one step away” from becoming a Chelsea player for an initial £72million.
Leverkusen will then be owed another £18million in add-ons, with Havertz finalising the “last details and paperwork” ahead of his lucrative switch to the Premier League.
Romano posted on Twitter: “Kai Havertz to Chelsea, one step away and then… here we go!
Frank Lampard has already added Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech to his squad ahead of the new season, but the Blues are ready to fight for silverware next season after failing to win anything last season.
