Premier League side, Chelsea are ready to meet the release clause of Leipzig striker, Thomas Werner.

According to Goal, the blues are ready to pay Timo Werner’s £54 million (€60m/ $68m) release clause after tabling a contract offer for the RB Leipzig striker.
The German striker has been in the form of his life for Leipzig in the Bundesliga this season, scoring 25 goals in 29 appearances to help the club rise to third in the table.
The 24-year-old’s outstanding performances have caught the eye of a number of Europe’s top clubs, including Liverpool, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
However, Chelsea have been given a boast in securing a deal for the sharp striker who will be eager make a mark in the Premier League.
Chelsea can currently boast of Tammy Abraham who has served as Chelsea’s first-choice striker throughout the 2019-20 season, Olivier Giroud and Michy Batshuayi who is set to leave the Bridge later this year.
