Premier League side, Chelsea are rumored to be eyeing a move for Villarreal Nigerian star, Samuel Chukwueze if they fail to land Jadon Sancho.
The blues are currently stepping up their pursuit for wingers in this summer transfer window and would love to have the Nigerian winger in their team.
According to Goal, Samuel Chukwueze who has impressed in the past two seasons for the yellow submarines is seen as a suitable alternative to Jadon Sancho who has also impressed at Borussia Dortmund.
Samuel Chukwueze is under contract until 2023 but will be eager to move to the Premier League where he has always spoken fondly of.
The 21-year-old has already emerged as a key player for Villarreal after breaking into the side during the 2018-19 season and has 12 goals and seven assists from 68 appearances.
The winger is also a Nigerian international and has earned 13 caps, scoring twice in that time for the Super Eagles.
He was also part of the Nigerian team that won bronze at the 2019 Nations cup hosted in Egypt.
Chukwueze was a target for Liverpool last summer but Jurgen Klopp’s interest appears to have cooled since then with the Reds on their way to the Premier League title.
