Bayern Munich crowned Bundesliga Champion for eight season in a row

Bayern Munich have secured their eighth successive Bundesliga title after a 1-0 win over Werder Bremen on Tuesday.

Polish striker, Robert Lewandowski’s 31st league goal of the season sealed a 30th German title for the Bavarian giants with Borussia Dortmund’s attempts to dethrone the reigning champions over for another season.

Their title defence looked to have fade away when Bayern made the decision to part company with manager Niko Kovac after 18 months in charge last November  looking for a change in the wake of an embarrassing 5-1 defeat at Eintracht Frankfurt.

Hansi Flick was brought in to steady the ship and has delivered another title with the Champions League in sight having beating Chelsea 3 nil before the competition was suspended.

Bayern Munich will be eager to continue their impressive season by winning the prestigious club competition if it finally resume in August as speculated.
