Spanish side, Barcelona are set to hold talks with teenage sensation Ansu Fati over a new long-term contract at the club.
Ansu Fati at the age of 17 have got tongues wagging with his performance on the pitch as he made headlines this past week when he first became Spain’s youngest debutant since 1936 in the match against Germany , before scoring on his first-ever start versus Ukraine to become the nation’s youngest-ever goalscorer.

With Lionel Messi staying put at the the Catalonia club, Barcelona are now focused on securing the Guinea-Bissau-born attacker to a new long term deal.
Fati’s contract negotiations will be handled by super agent Jorge Mendes, who has been booked in for meetings by Barcelona over the next few days.
It is understood that Barcelona want to increase the player’s current release clause of €170 million (£153m/$201m) to €400m (£360m/$472m) in the new contract proposal.
Fati has earned comparisons with Messi
following his meteoric rise over the last 12 months from La Masia talent to potential superstar.
He became Barca’s second youngest debutant in history – aged 16 years, 298 days – against Real Betis in August last year, before becoming the club’s youngest ever goalscorer only six days after his first appearance.
Ansu Fati’s current deal is set to expire in June 2022 and has score eight goals and create one assist in 33 appearances across all competitions in his first season.
