Inter Milan manager, Antonio Conte is set for a reunion with Chelsea defender as he’s set to bolster his squad during the January transfer window.
Marcos Alonso who made huge impact during Antonio Conte’s winning season at Chelsea is said to be Inter’s first choice during the transfer window.
The 28-year-old spaniard has made just 13 appearances so far this season for the Blues under Frank Lampard, and hasn’t been called up to the squad for the last five Premier League games and will be seeking a move to the Italian side.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Spaniard has emerged as the preferred candidate for the Italian giants, as they look to add quality and depth in the left-back position as Kwadwo Asamoah continues to be troubled by a knee problem.
With the Nerazzurri having a great season they would have hoped for as they currently top the Serie A table ahead of Juventus, the Italian side will be adding quality to their side as they also hope to advance to the next stage of the Champions League this week.
Emerson Palmieri and Cesar Azpilicueta form and performance have seen Marcos Alonso game time limited at the club and will be hoping for a move.
